There's a few fashion style that was a hit this year which I observed previous weeks. I am here to share with all of you what I found out.

Hit of the year, firstly :

1. Toga Bodycon Dress

A must point of bodycon is the dress must be real fitting to your body shape to show off your figure. No matter it is long sleeves,

...short sleeves or even....

......sleeveless......

they are all fantastic piece. Easily bring out the feminine figure of a woman. It is a total must have in a woman wardrobe this year.

2. Lace Cheongsam

This year CNY you must have at least a piece of this modern lace cheongsam. This year every piece is master mind from the fashion designers. Just like dishes, they are fusion of oriental and also western together.

A little bit of cut out of the dress, either front or....

....back like this picture over here. This had bring cheongsam to a total different level. Besides an oriental theme, it will brings out lovely, sexy and of course feminine look of a woman which is the main objective to wear a cheongsam.

3. Cut Out Dress

Popularity of these dress increase rapidly after it was intro to the public. It does not necessarily cut out a lot from the dress. Some how a light cut on the shoulder on chest is perfectly nice.

Simple and non-expose like the piece of black peplum dress, chest cut out below is total magnificent.

Do you know what is the overall point above that can be combine together? Look below pictures and you will know.

Can you guess it right? Toga bodycon, lace and it is cut out. All the main thing in one piece. No matter what mixture it is, I bet you'll definitely find the proper piece that suits you most.

4. Jumpsuit

Another piece that hits the fashion world is jumpsuit. Everyone goes insane with it. No matter you have it in tube, quarter sleeves, deep V, long or quarter pants it will definitely bring out the cool edgy and elegant look of a woman.

Even in short like the piece below, it will definitely looks nice too. It is a must have as it won't fade with the fast pace of changes in fashion industry.

5. Pump Heels

You have everything done, you should have a footwear to match with your awesome cloths. Hit of the year which I think it is. Pump Heels.

Either it is peep toe,

....with platform or

.....pump with platform

.....or just a normal piece, it can easily mix and match with your cloths because of the simplicity and elegant that it can bring out when a woman wears it.

Welcome Seafood Restaurant

We all know what Kota Kinabalu (KK) are famous of besides the mountain and also diving part or to be short mother nature . What is more famous is their seafood. Fresh, cheap and superbly cook!!! This is what I think possibly could be the most affordable and nice place to dine in for Seafood.

See how much we had ordered for only 5 of us? The point is we finish it all because the food was awesome and you will see lots of tourist around especially HongKies.

Steamed Fish

Love the fresh texture of the fish. Nicely done even though with minimal and simple ingredient. I think with fresh ingredient all food will be nicely cook.

Kam Hiong Crab

I love the crab too. It's a little different from what we have here in Miri but still taste great. Maybe they did some fusion in order for foreigners to adapt with our food. (I guess)

Nothing special. Just want light vegetarian since all the pick of the night is meat. Too heavy for a start because we will be having something more heavy after that when we reach Taiwan.

Claypot Taufu

Everyone knows this dish. Simple but still a popular pick. The gravy is more tastier than the dish itself because it can be pour on the rice and eat a few bowl if my tummy still can fit in.

Nestum Prawn

The prawn is so big. Bigger than the normal size we usually find at the fish market. It's not tiger prawn and not charging any higher price thou, so we think this is so much worthy. I dislike prawn and can't have too much prawn but this prawn will makes me want for the second piece.

I don't know it's name. I heard it called "Lo" in chinese. This is the first time I tried this but it is sort of special and awkward. MUST eat with the sauce because I think it is special made to dip with it.

This is the after picture. Can you imagine 3 ladies and 2 men can finish all 6 dishes with nothing left. I am impressive but I don't think for others. People might think it's normal but the portion is quite big.

Remember to drop by if you are around at KK. I don't know the exact destination but the people around there might know and guide you there.

Accomodation at Taiwan

Kao Hsiung - Nanaimo

The place we stay at Kao Hsiung is convenient for youngsters like us. It is near to train station and just next to a school. Luckily it is summer and we won't have to listen to bell sound early in the morning.

Kenting - Border hotel

Not really satisfied with this hotel as appearance is not the same as it appears on facebook. However it is situated right along the street of Kenting Night Market. Awesome place to fill your stomach whole night. Some other rooms looks fine maybe because we book it quite last minute and we had more people in this trip, that's why we did not able to get a better room.

Tai Chung

Do not have an exact name for this. We are liking this very much because it is so comfortable and convenient too. It is within walking distance to Tai Chung night market.

Sun Moon Lake - Assam Dream

Loving the design of this hostel that we stay. Comfortable, nice environment and affordable. But somehow it is not convenient. However, Sun Moon Lake is the only place you have to go around that area. Owner is kind enough to provide transport and breakfast to his customer.

Jiu Fen

Another fantastic place. Taiwan government really know how to preserve their country symbolic icon place. This is so far the best view between 7 places that we had been to.

Taipei

After so much of fantastic accommodation we are expecting better ones however this one in Taipei slightly disappoint us. However they do have some facilities for you to use like washing machine and what is good it is just within walking distance to the biggest night market, Shihlin Night Market.

TaoYuan - Anna's House

This is among all the most beautiful accommodation. Despite comfort zone, the house is uniquely design and creatively decorate.

All the accommodations are great and most important of all when we do research and make reservation is :

1. CHEAP!!! - main thing to save because it could cost a lot for 10 days living
2. Convenient - easily find and of course easily get public transport
3. Food - surrounded with food, if no at least some where near Night Market, got night market
means got FOOD!!

Bento, Taiwan

We were so lazy to go some where far to search for food, so we decided to stop by at this shop which was just walking distance from where we live. You would never expect too much from the appearance but things could always be the other way round.

They are serving food in bento style. I think it's quite environment friendly because they can save a lot of water to just clear all the dirty dishes and also save expenses because they don't need to employ another extra maid to help them to clean up the mess. Besides, all the paper are recyclable. You will find at most of the shop at Taiwan were very conscious about 3R. That is why Taiwan is much more develop than what Malaysia are today. The mindset is so different.

Food they served not only looks good but taste good too. Do not judge by the outlook and size. The portion is definitely big enough for you to handle. You will easily fill full after having maybe half of the bento set.

We are all loving it and truly satisfied with what they served. Although space within is not big because bento are meant for take away but the boss still welcome us with great smile and hoping to see us around if he could have the chance to come over Malaysia for a visit.

Taipei, Taiwan - Day 3

It was our third day at Taipei. Our final day to see, eat and shop till drop before going to Tao Yuan and flying back to Malaysia. Went to Taipei Zoo. Heard it was one of the must visit because it is one of the attractions too.

Panda is our first pick because we have to queue up in number to see these panda all the way from China within limited time frame.

Here it comes.....and all the while he is turning round and round on the same track. I wonder whether he scares he is lost or he is scared of so many strange human beings watching him.

The zoo was so damn big. I think if you walk without a map you might easily get lost because street sign is far from each station we went.

Cute hippo bringing her kids down to bath. I think the baby hippo were tiny because it is cover by the water level when it walk down into it.

They were just too many of them to put all in here. Just selected a few to let all of you have a peep. Want to have great exploration? Come yourself to Taipei and experienced yourself. I bet you will have more fun instead of just reading this.

Rushing to Taipei 101 after that because that was our main thing to do of the day. How could you not visit their tallest building when you're in the city? Just like when you went to KL, how could you not visit KLCC? It is the same application to this.

Loving this baby damper when we reach the peak at 89th floor. This is where you could see fantastic view of Taipei and in depth introduction of Taipei 101.

Fascinating ain't it? See all the skyscrapers buildings. I think Taipei is moving fast forward than KL does. Their economy, their living lifestyle is way much better than we are.

The damper that act as the heart of Taipei 101. This is the inspiration od the baby damper. Cute aren't they?

Another baby damper. So liking it. Hope to grab it back and have it as my baby.

Awesome night view of Taipei. There's a little reflection because of the glass window but second one gets better.

TaoYuan, Taiwan

We went down to Tao Yuan the next day by cab. I think Taiwan citizen really does friendly. They treat everyone very sincere.They send us to our hostel and send us to our next stop destination even though the driver were not familiar with the road at Tao Yuan. Just something similar to Disneyland, we went to "Xiao Ren Guo".

Everything is in mini size and so cute. We were like giant entering and wishing to destroy their home. The building is exactly the same with what we see in reality.

Saw leaning tower,Pisa....I really miss life in Europe. We still looks so mini even standing next to this great building.

The main character of this land, OPEN! I had no idea why they name it open but he is CUTE-NESS!

It's not only Taiwan but they have other magnificent and great building all over the world. You may had an early sight of this great building because they were exactly the same just difference in size.

We are having great time. Whole lots of fun in there. No time for other places. However, shops at Tao Yuan all close very early and we did not manage to shop around. That's our final day and that was a very good ending for our Taiwan trip. Had you enjoy as much as I did? At least we all do. Till we meet again Taiwan.

FORMOSA CHANG (鲁肉饭) - NON HALAL

This is also one of the MUST eat when you're at Taiwan. There's a lot of similar shop but we see this is more attractive one.

I love their rice very much. I'm rice lover. The orange thingy is not carrot actually but I don't know what's the name in proper English. This is just too small for my appetite. But they do have LARGE size portion.

Pork

Yummy food. Love the sauce especially. That's what makes that whole plate of dishes truly awesome.

A - Vegetable

That's what they written in the menu. Love it because it is crispy and not over cooked but a little oily. The shape exactly looks like an A alphabet.

Tofu

Normal tofu, not stinky tofu. Not really my taste because it has a very heavy bean taste.

Pork Belly

Not much people love the fatty belly but I simply think it is awesome. I love it very much especially when you eat it with the slice carrot.

Taiwan is a food heaven. You can have food any time and hour. You won't be die of hunger unless you're out of cash.

Xin Bei Tou, Taipei - Day 2

Second day at Taipei, we plan to go north. Place where it is spa heaven. There's some history behind this historical place however I couldn't remember what it is.

The library, the plum house and the public spa (溫泉) is a must visit. You will see most of the elderly were there to strengthen their bones.

Beautiful isn't it? Not easy to remain such an antique for so many years. This piece of thing is even older than me.

I just love the view from this window. How everything looks like in this house. So calming and relaxing.

We went to one of the hotel because ever hotel did offer spa. We choose this because they offer cheaper rate. We were like Jane going out of the jungle. Never been to a spa and we did not know we shall go wholly naked in there. Deep shit!!

However, it really relieves your stress and heal your body. Physically I mean as I don't know how does it feel like internally. Enjoy the session but feel awkward during the naked session.

Thermal Valley is a must visit because this is where every hotel and public spa pool get their resources from.

We went to a famous restaurant for their spa noodles BUT too bad no picture allowed. HOWEVER, after we finish everything I saw flash all around and the owner does not respond anything on that. I was so sad at that moment because their noodles were great. Everyone is queuing up for it.

Went to Dan Shui after relaxing spa at Xin Bei Tou. Just one station away from Bei Tou station.

Night markets again with lots of food BUT we end up having these cake that's looks delicious.

Went back to rest after that. We did went to Wu Fen Pu after that. Lots lots of cloths where we don't know where to start from. Everywhere was full of cloths, accessories, bag and shoes. Like wholesale but they do sell to normal customer like us.

We went for something special for dinner. Stay tuned for what it is!!

Dazzling Cafe, Taipei

This where we head to for our dinner. Been seeing and heard so much about this place so me and Sze decided die also must try. A few branches at Taipei, you can view it here. Remember to make reservation, if not you will end up like us...waiting for about an hour for seats.

Lovely environment. They required a minimum spending for every customer. There's a lot restaurant in Taiwan that had this T&C, especially when come to those popular one. So do read properly or ask before you enter.

Love my coffee but lovin' the biscuits much more. Superb nice and also perfect match with hot drinks.

Dazzling Cafe is famous for its toast, however they do have varieties of other options for selections.

Their toast definitely is a MUST pick from their menu. Do not underestimate them and never overestimate yourself. It does not seems like what you see. The portion can barely handle by normal human being or even a big eater man. Portion that they served is definitely for TWO at least. Hear me right, TWO at least!!

See this, udang di sebalik batu. You cannot imagine how big that portion is for ONE! I still survive eating that but I could not finish it.

Lovin' the macaroon. However, too sweet even for me a dessert lover to handle.

Can you imagine all those fattening and calories all in one? Overall, it is still good. If they could reduce the portion size a little it would be more perfect. Till we meet again Dazzling~

Taipei, Taiwan - Day 1

From Jiu Fen, we took 1062 bus to Taipei. Direct from the place we stay at Jiu Fen. No transfer needed as we carry heavy duty luggage. This way is nothing more convenient and finally we only need to take train to where we stay.

Place that we gona stay for 3 nights. This might not be as good as previous homestay we went but one thing that is good, we can just walk to the biggest Shihlin Night Market within walking distance and also to the train station.

Put down our burden, the luggage, we went to explore the magnificent Taipei where this is the most attractive city of Taiwan.

From Taipei city, we went to Xi Men Ding. Too bad that the weather does not really allow us to go further. Even shopping is restricted but we will not stop searching for food. We are the food hunter. Good food should be hunt. We went high and low searching for something everyone had been saying. We had turn everywhere to look for it, ask people around but some don't even get to tell us the exact location. However, our hard work does pay. We finally found it. This is what we are looking for.

From Xi Men Ding we went to C.K.S Memorial Hall. Still rain when we reached.

Sky turns dark really fast. It is only around 5.30pm when the lights lighten up and sky turns dark totally. We decided to hunt for food. No no night market food this time. We waited more than an hour for this. See what we had on the next review.

Antique Window

This is where we have our dinner, Antique Window. I love how they design their restaurant. There's indoor and outdoor and we choose indoor to have some personal space.

See how relaxing we are. I can't believe all these restaurant here close at 9p.m. Meaning there's no supper for us. But we are enjoying our dinner. Fantastic view from within.

This is all asian cuisine but they serve it exactly same as western style. Appetizers, main course and desserts.

Love all their food. Taste so awesome especially the pork leg and curry. Both is my favorite of the night. I can't tell how do they cook it because this is so localize with their own spices and herbs. However, it suits my taste bud.

If you happen to drop by at Jiu Fen, try to dine in this restaurant. Who knows you will as impress as me but of course this vary for individual preferences.

Jiu Fen, Taiwan

After Sun Moon Lake, we take a direct bus down to Taipei. However, to reach Jiu Fen it is a complicated journey. We have to take 2 different bus to reach Jiu Fen. After 1 bus trip, we decided to get cab to reach our home-stay because it is raining and we have so many luggage with us. The whole journey took us about 2 hours in total.

One thing that you will see once you reach is temple. It is like everywhere. Everywhere I turn, I will see one stood still above the hill. Besides, I am wondering how could they build house up the hill. From far, the houses were like stair case.

We are really lucky. We get to pick the most beautiful home-stay with the most excellent view of all. Let me prove to you my word!!

View from our window. A painting come to life isn't it? Where could you find such fascinating scenery at Malaysia?

Once settle down, we are ready for our next adventurous journey. Light snack before we start. The "yu yuan" made of yam but come with sweet potato too. Cold and hot to fulfill different customer preferences.

View that we get to see along the way up to the Jiu Fen Old Street. The only way we get to go up is take a long stairs. Sort of take our breathe away because we did not expect the stairs to be that long way up.

Finally we reach after about 20 minutes? We kinda used to it after several times climbing up and down. As soon as we reached, we had already see stalls all around. Makan time!!!

This stall is one out of so many of them here that had been interview by Taiwan Entertainment show. Their food were great, especially the soup and vermicelli noodles. Personal liking!

BBQ Mushroom. One of our favorite at every night markets. Even they BBQ it, the mushroom is still juicy and delicious.

Jiu Fen Old Street is all connected by stairs. There's still main road for vehicles, but narrow and small.

As the sky turns dark, the scenery gets more attracting. We decided to turn home and get back here again at night. However, something unexpected happen......

...we see shoplots and stalls were all closed down. The street were silence. We can even hear cricket sound. Meaning no food for us.

There's still some restaurant open but way too expensive. Mostly tourist with tour agent dining in there. Lots of Japanese and Korean around.

See how sad we are. They usually open at 7.30 or 8.00 am in the morning and close at 5.oopm or 6.30 p.m the latest. Luckily we did found a restaurant which offer reasonable price, or else we will end up at 7-eleven stores again.

Wonder where we went dine in? Will intro on my next post because I love that restaurant very much...... Stay tuned!!!

Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan

Coming to Sun Moon Lake after hectic day at TaiChung. We get here by cab from TaiChung HSR station. Upon arrival, the surroundings really capture my attention. Lovely environment! See it to believe it!!

I believe a lot of effort had been put in. Japanese inspired interior design truly gave us a comfy and relaxing environment to stay in. In addition, wooden structure had emphasizes a step closer to the mother nature.

We even get to enjoy personal ride from them. Truly thoughtful of them. It is not easy to get transport around that area. They will ride us to down town and fetch us back when we are done.

Before we start our adventure, to fill up our empty stomach is the most important task to do.Been searching high and low for something nice, final decision we came into this one.

They had varieties of selection, Noodles and rice set lunch but I think they are more popular with their noodle.

"Lao Hu Mian" which is highly recommended by them and it is super spicy.

"Qing Tang Mian"

My pick of the day. I love it. Thick aroma from soup with just bean sprout and spring onion in it, just a great combination with noodles. You can taste thoroughly the true taste of the soup. Simply amazing. Don't judge this by the picture, this is one big portion!

Set lunch looks good too. Comes with additional side dishes and 1 main dish.

The harbor where we gona start our journey,

....boats that we are going to ride and tour us around the lake.

Sze feel dizzy while we were waiting in the boat, therefore I let her lean against my fatty leg.

She feels better once they started to drive the boat. Fantastic view ain't it? No rushing pace and no jamming city. You just feel calm and peace when you look at the mother nature portrait.

There's a few stops that the boat would make. You can either walk around or stay in the boat to the next destination. Boat will come back every 30 mins. Weather doesn't seems good and it started to rain again.

Did I mentioned that you must remember to get a herbal egg when the boat drop you at the second stop? You can smell the aroma from far and you will see lots of people queuing up for it. Taste great and feels good to eat on cool weather.

Sky turns dark really fast. We bought our dinner at nearest 7-eleven and took back home. (*we went to 7-eleven almost everyday. Reporting in at least once everyday.)This is the first time ever we went home so early and there's no supper. But we did bought some light snack for us to sit down and chit-chat at night.

Night scene looks great isn't it? However, there's mosquito that bite us and we can't stand sitting too long to serve them our fresh blood.

Get off to bed quite early that night since I don't really get to sleep enough the previous night. Besides, we will be heading to our next destination, Jiu Fen the next morning.

What a refreshing morning. Cool mist, green plant and blue sky. Makes me feel energetic and refreshing too. Such great scenery produce fantastic photo outcome.

The owner were very thoughtful to serve us local made breakfast. Love it max!!~ You won't be getting any of these at any stall. I love all the dishes.

While we were enjoying our breakfast, we look out from the dining hall, we saw some ladies plucking tea leaves. I bet that land belongs to the same owner of the home-stay we live in. With such great environment, the tea leaves should be high quality tea.

I bet we all do enjoy our time here. Relaxing mode whole day. Stress just gone when you stay close to the nature. Next stop, Jiu Fen.

TaiChung, Taiwan

Now we are moving from Kenting upwards to TaiChung. From Kenting, we get cab back to KaoHsiung. We are taking HSR from Zuoying station to TaiChung Station. It only takes about an hour to reach. Fast and safe us a lot of time. We reach Tai Chung at around 4.00 p.m. Did some laundry and started to explore.

Loving this homestay that we are staying in. Comfortable and relaxing. I love how they decorate the room even they have limited space. Still look spacious even they fit in every necessities furniture.

Exploring time. What is good about all the homestay we find is that, it is all within walking distance to the night markets and where all the shop open till late midnights and night is always young for everyone. The landlord were quite thoughtful to provide us map to explore around.

Sze is seriously looking for direction and wonder are we on the right track. No worries, cause we will be turning around and everywhere is connected.

Signboards everywhere and very colorful, great way to attract customer and recognizing especially those hang up high. Ladies you will love it here because this is shoes paradise. Cheap and nice shoes everywhere. Latest trend and stylish.

One follow by another. All of them are selling shoes. You can rarely see boutique there, a few of them but not as much as shoe shop.

Time for food after long walk. Hunger for papaya milk and we came across this shop where the queue were very long. And when it was finally my turn I found this chart of sugar level and ice level that you desire to blend in your drink. They will ask you when they serves you and have your drink made according to your preference. How nice ain't it?

As usual rows and rows of stalls queuing for us to choose. Too many of them that we had tried. I can't introduce all of it and I can't really remember all of them exceptional to some that's really nice.

Not really recommended. The crust layer is too thick and what I can taste is only flour instead of the squid. It does not impress me at all.

This is one of the exceptional I mention. "Golden Right Leg" or Gold Leg as written on their signboard, direct translation from chinese. This is awesome. The layer of cheese above the freshly roast then bake chicken is perfectly nice. The chicken meat texture is tenderly soft but crunchy outside. Eating it with cheese might just bring you up to heaven. hehehehe....I might over describing it, but personally love this very much.

It comes with some fresh cut cabbage for you to eat with.

People here really had creative mind. See how can a cake be so lively and interesting? They had bring these cartoon character to life. Would you even want to eat them into your mouth? They are so cute!!

Lastly, taufu fa for supper. We are super duper full. Taiwan were just great because they really knows how to enjoy life. Having good food everyday with different ingredients. One taufu fa can come with so many choices. Just damn good brain they have. Of course it should blend along with taufu fa and not just simply mix. Remember this is for Taiwan local taste not Malaysia.

Our night life doesn't stop here. We went for another round after shower and most of the stalls are still open. They open till 2.00a.m. This is truly insane. Not the hawkers I am taking about but teenagers there. They can eat non-stop and you still hardly see fatty there. Even most of the guys there were skinny than I am. How could this happen????????Nah don't wanna mention about it anymore. Remember one thing. Night is always young at Taiwan and 7-eleven is our every night hangouts!!~

Kenting, Taiwan - 3Days 2Nights

DAY 1

Kenting, one of beach paradise. You can see the crowd on weekend and also summer. Ladies in bikinis are all around. The first thing that we see besides beaches and ladies in hot bikinis, night market is what we see upon arrival, and they open as early as 4p.m.

We get here using taxi from KaoHsiung. The journey takes around 2 1/2 hours.

Kenting definitely offer something much more than food. Swim wear, cloths, sandals and of course souvenir. However, their price range are much higher than some places as this is a tourist attractions. The rain does not reduce their intuition to eat and shop.

Lots lots of nice food to fill your hunger. This is one special fruit. Not normal cherry tomato. They add something in between. Great combination because that black thing in between taste sweet and sour. The whole fruit taste juicy and refreshing.

One famous stall at Kenting. Lots of reviews from the local artist in various TV shows. Decided to try how real their words are.

Crispy and tasty. Maybe we tried the original flavor, we did not taste any specialty out of it. But still it taste good but we had something better than this.

People here are just way out of their mind. They definitely knows how to attract people attractions. Undeniable they are truly friendly and easily approach.

Roast Pork and Sausage.
This is so so yummy and juicy. Some people might not like it because it is a little oily and fattening. HOWEVER, you can never resist how yummy they are. You will definitely get another pack after your first.

Pearl Milk Tea is the must drink when you're here at Taiwan. They are famous with Pearl Milk Tea. You can see almost every night market selling these.

DAY 2

A cool air breeze, such a refreshing morning. Blue sky and white clouds. Just what we wanted. However that weather does not last long.....

...because it started too rain when we stop down to rest and pick up some pictures of the beautiful sea.

The place you're looking at now is the mark that we had reach at the very South point of Taiwan. Surrounding was all blue with different tone make up of blue skies and blue sea.
This light house is one of the attractions. Don't ask me why. You'll see all the souvenir shops are selling similar item and lighthouse souvenir is definitely "will see" item.

Did I mentioned that we actually rented an electrical bicycle. That's the transport we used to travel around Kenting for 2 days. It is truly a nightmare to drive that bicycle.

We came across this small stalls when we stop by and wait for some men to change our bike battery because we still have way to far to go and our bike is starting to show weak sign. While waiting, since the friendly woman we are asking for directions were selling food, we just went into her shop and had our lunch.

This little creature just so cute and fluffy. The stalls that we went into was visited by famous artist, Ming Dao before. Hardly imagine isn't it? On the same day he is there too BUT he is next door where we supposedly go into but fullhouse when we reached.

Do not under estimate their food. Truly awesome and nice. I don't know whether because all of us were hungry or really it taste good. I am LIKING it, that's all I know.

After lunch, battery check, time to continue our long journey. Not far from where we stop just now, we saw this awesome place. The same place we bump into Ming Dao again. Too bad did not get a quick shot with him because he is running away as the rain started pouring down again.

Can you imagine how fast the wind blows? We can hardly stand still up there. Even hardly have our eyes open.

Finally, after several hours of driving finally we reach our next destination. Tiring and getting tanned. Can you see my eyes were fairer than my forehead and chin? I am wearing sunglasses the whole day and I am getting tanned. It looks like I still had it on my face even I had take of my shades.

Enough of leg exercise, we are going for some hand exercise to balance out our muscles. We went for kayaking. My very first time.

Not easy but enjoying. Need teamwork and cooperation in order for your kayak to move in the right position. You will be in the wrong path if both rowing different directions.

There's just so much amazing places. This is one of them and people are going illegal here.

We're not even allowed to cross that border, not to say barbeque-ing food. Illegal hawker are selling potato, marshmallows, eggs, pop corn ready pack for you to BBQ. However, we are having fun and the marshmallow were awesome. Just in time for our tea time snack.

The sky is getting dark. We are speeding back to town before the sun set. At Taiwan during fall, the sun set as early as 5.00 p.m. What we have for dinner? Another round of night market again.

Can you guess what's underneath?

Yellowish fried egg. Very yummy but I can't remember what is in the golden blanket. Hahahaha....There's no words that you could describe a plate of yummy food.

Can you guess where do we get these tarts? Similar to portugese tart but these are original egg tarts. These are from KFC outlet. Those tarts were really awesome. How come Miri franchise is not selling any of those? Sadness!

DAY 3

Here we come for the beach. The main point we choose kenting is all because of the sea sports activities. 4-in-1 package is only NTD550. You'll never get to have such offer back in Malaysia.

The best way to get close to the nature is feel the nature yourself. Get your foot bare and ready to get wet!!

Enough of fun and it's time to our next destination. Accident happen during our ride back to our hostel. Reckless driver I am. Feel so sorry to the passengers behind. Scars everywhere. Truly "memorable" souvenir we got from Taiwan.

This is the destination where all the happy, sad and hard times in all. But all of us are having great time even there's unpleasant moment.

KaoHsiung, Taiwan

My very virgin trip to Taiwan. Been awaiting for it ever since the ticket was booked. Just too bad that some of the babes can't make it because of leave problem but still the trip must go on. A 3 hours flight from KK International Airport, finally we reach at TaoYuan International Airport, Terminal 2. There's a few things you can actually do before hand and prepared before getting to Taiwan which I will post it later on. I shall bring you to our first stop, Kao Hsiung at the South part of Taiwan.

We will be taking High Speed Rail Train from TaoYuan to ZuoYing Station (KaoHsiung). Take the Ubus 705 from the airport and they will take you to the HSR station. You can also purchase ticket in advance from their website here in case it is peak season.

This is the queue that we are in when we arrived at HSR station because we can't confirm the exact time to depart from TaoYuan station to Zuo Ying station. We have no choice but to purchase it on the spot.

It only took us 2 and 1/2 hours to reach. Zuo Ying is the last station so there is no way you could miss that station. The facilities in the train was good too. They announced every station when they are approaching and did show out through the LED monitor the previous, current and on going station to arrive.

That's not it. Still a long way to reach our homestay. We will be taking KMRT to our destination. One thing that is good about Taiwan is they have real convenient transportation for you to move around and travel the whole Taiwan. Besides, they are very detailed and particular in describing how could we reached their house or place.

A very comfortable place to sleep in. Just feel so relaxing BUT one thing that is bad, NO LIFT!!! You see let me make things clear to you. Taiwan house or homestay is usually owner own house and they make it into homestay. Houses inTaiwan are all small in width but it was build high several storeys. Carrying luggage is one suffering moment during the trip so get a handy luggage or better way, bring less and buy there.

Tidy and clean environment. Did I mentioned that you should bring over universal adapter with you because they are using different plug than what we were using.

Every place is connected and you could see every attractions when you reach each station. Clearly stated which exit (many exits, so beware) have what attractions or main place people mostly visited. And one thing good about this underground train station is their fully utilise it by having small stalls and booths selling local delicacies or handicraft. Just a great thought to push up their economy.

Our first stop, Dream Mall. One of the attractions in our list. Not sure what is the main attractions but since we will reach destination with their free shuttle bus provided, there we will be.

Be alert with the motorist there. They were like ants queueing to bring back food into their nest. One thing which I truly dislike. Besides, the way they drive were dangerous too. Misleading traffic lights and before I forget, they were left-handed drivers.

Formosa Boulevard Station. This station was famous for it's artistic design. Youngsters like to hang around with street dance, yoyo or just sit down chit chatting. Truly artistic and one of the tourist attractions.

Where am I heading next? NIGHT MARKETS!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a must go when you visit Taiwan. Night markets was like a culture for them. Time to seek for food!~

Voted number 1 night market by foreign tourist, LiouHe Night Market. You can take the KMRT and stop at Formosa Boulevard Station. Follow their sign and you'll get here.

Varieties of local snack and food that you can find. From something you love to some unknown awkward food. Night markets were crowded but enjoy the fantastic atmosphere.

I'm drinking one of the popular drinks at Liou He Night Market, Papaya Milk. The queue was long but it was worth it when you drink in a sip. Especially after having all those heat street food.

One of the restaurant that sell snake meat. The elderly said snake meat were good for health but I have no courage to try.

My buddy desperately wanted to have a bowl and I bravely tried a piece. It tasted like chicken meat.

Just too many choices and you don't know where to begin with. Taiwanese sure love animal intestines because not only pig but also duck or goose intestines too. Truly disgusting but smells really good.

After an hour, we are heading to our second stop, Ruei Feng Night market. Largest and most popular among local people. To be true, Ruei Feng have much more varieties and choices. Besides food, you could see hawker selling cloths, shoes and accesories. All youngsters who were truly business minded.

Just get there by KMRT train and stop at Kao Hsiung Arena station. Walk for a distance and you will see the sign board as below. You will see the crowd before you see that sign, so no worries of getting lost.

Truly exhausted as you can see. We decided to call it a day and head home. We will need to head down to Kenting the next day for more fantastic trip.

Our first breakfast at Taiwan. Trying to adapt with their culture and they normally have toast, burger, sandwich and some local snacks for breakfast. They seldom have noodles in their menu.

I am loving this, "jian jiao". Normal filling but just fantastic taste. A little similar to "xiao long bao" because the gravy spit out when I took the first bite on it. Just nice and yummy.

This is “dan bing". It taste so special and even better than omelette. The juicy egg layering with bacon makes them a great match. I start missing all the food, *saliva dripping*. Do I make you feel the same? Hungry???? *drool*

Seafood noodle. The only noodle in the menu. The sour and little spicy taste is just great for a cool morning. Every portion was quite big for a normal appetite person. Be ready to gain weight.

The owner of the homestay and his family were really friendly. Provide help, guidance and information for our convenience. Nevertheless gave us a very warmth welcome for our first visit at Taiwan and he definitely makes me wanna come back to Taiwan, to KaoHsiung again.

Jia Yong Restaurant - Bintulu

I can't remember when is the last time I step to Bintulu. No image projected in my mind when someone said about this place. Me and bunch of lads went there for the yearly event, Kite Festival. 2 hours ride just for the kite which everyone was speaking and talking about. A better post on it soon.

Lunch here as soon as we arrive. Doesn't seems like much places open so we decided to stop by here with guidance of my lads friend. Interior design was great. Giving whole lots of great and lovely impression.

COLD PLATE TAUFU

Fantastic taufu. Crispy outside and still cold soft inside. How did the hell did they cook it? The sauce were just awesome. A good appetizer for a quick start.

KONG PAO CHICKEN WITH RICE

I think this is quite simple. Nothing much special , just normal. So far I do not have something that really blows me away.

CURRY MEAT WITH RICE

Actual name is much attracting then this but sorry I couldn't remember it. BUT most important is the taste was good. I love it even it is too spicy for me to handle. Lovely curry aroma with good companion of onion. Not just normal curry, you will love it if you are curry lover. CURRY-NEH!!!

BUTTER CHICKEN WITH RICE

Personally think they are generous with the butter instead of the portion because I can taste a heavy aroma of butter. I couldn't judge the texture of the chicken because all I can taste is the great taste gravy.

BEEF BAKED RICE

The look doesn't seems to be very attracting and so do the meal itself. The cheese itself not even sufficient enough and the chef is little stingy in giving away cheese. To be honest, I still love Kim Gary cheese baked rice. Love to the max and so far the best-est for me.

CHICKEN FLOSS FRIED RICE

Nice aroma when it served but outlook is not as pleasant as it smells. However the person who have it says was quite good and I can see the rice was well cook because it was not stick up together like chicken rice ball. A good plate of fried rice is really not easy to cook.

Personally thinks overall the food was good. I think portion should be a little generous because rice was too much and the side dish was not enough to finish up all the rice. Wanted to explore more but time wouldn't allow us to stay any longer. Bintulu, we shall return!

EVERLY HOTEL

Can you guess where is this from the picture below? The view was great back not as good as sea view. A great hotel in Miri where you get to have all the fantastic view you can have.

Tadah~ This is how it looks like in the morning. Actually in looks much much more better than how my picture looks like. Poor photography skills....

Still unable to guess where am I? The guessing stops when you scroll down and see this.....yeah not others but PARK CITY EVERLY HOTEL. My first visit and stay over after a face lifting from Holiday Inn to Park City Everly.

Able to spot the promo price for this standard double room - hill view at RM88.88 but without breakfast . Spacious and comfy. Worth the price I would say. Normal facilities a hotel would have additionally you get to enjoy their extra facilities such as pool, gym, tennis court for daily activities.

Daily necessities that you will find in the bathroom. I know this wouldn't be anything extra for a hotel but I would just like to say they were so creative and going localize. They are using our local handicraft as a basket to store all the items. Just how great they ideas are to show foreigners our great handicraft. Even wall paints were all those artistic wooden craft.

Enough of room introduction let me bring you down to the nature. You will definitely love the mother nature. You are just so close that you would love to stay a little longer.

Pool that you get to cool in as Miri weather was definitely hot enough for you to enjoy the swim either early morning or hot sunny afternoon.

A great hotel I would recommend to tourist. Great view, great food and great entertainment all in one. However, this wouldn't be a great choice if your are under budget vacation. This is much more to entertainment and leisure.

Sin Soon Chin Restaurant

This isn't new to everyone, a quite well known restaurant in town. Been ages since I last came around. Quite forgetting how they really taste. Missing much how it might taste and today I am going to make a short review about it.

Seafood Soup

A very normal dish you would find in a Chinese restaurant. The only different is taste of it and what do the chef add in to the soup. This is little different because we refuse to have egg in the soup which makes a little different but still taste good.

Sweet & Sour Fish

Love the fish not because it is nice. The most important fact for ME to have a good fresh fish is without the sand taste. You know how some fish that they locally breed. You can smell the sand before they were put into your mouth. That's a total fail of it. This was nice and well done.

Deep Fried Pork Ribs

I always love crispy at the outside and soft in the inside and you really have no idea how did they do it? High temperature and deep fried? However they do it, it is an awesome pick. Just that its is a little too salty. Good to be with big bowl of plain white rice.

Veggie Mix Mushroom

This is special and one of my favorite pick. Normal menu we see is broccoli with mushroom and this is mix mushroom and abalone. Tasty to the max and I think the combination was great. Will try to cook it one day myself and be the chef I'm proud of...hahahaha

Nice food overall. Too salty for some of it but still I think they can improve. I love the way the seasoning mixture. Not too over and just great.

NASI LEMAK 2.0 - Movie

I know this is so much delayed but late is better than nothing? I had no idea that namewee is going to produce his own movie until he is having his tour movie promo around Malaysia and he is coming to Miri as one of his station out of so many scheduled. It is a good thing to promote Miri too.

This movie have so many well known local famous artiste. From local Miss Malaysia to famous singer Reshmonu to local famous superstar Adibah Noor, everyone was a big blast. Nevertheless our local singer Karen Kong was the main actress of this local production movie.

For some that just watch may think this is a real comedy because it is just too funny. For some we really got the "tersirat" message, they will know what does this going to mean in depth. This movie just show the real Malaysia. Just like how Jack Neo put Singapore life into his production.

Way they speak, body gesture, attitude of them are just way of Malaysian. Not drama queen or king. Just truly Malaysian.

NameWee is just giving out message to show what Malaysian is actually thinking, acting and doing. He is hoping for some better changes, for some better future and of course better tomorrow for everyone.

No matter pessimistic or optimistic perception Malaysian towards this movie, personally I think it was great. One better local production if we just took out the quality issue of their story line and also way they film it. Still overall I love this movie much.

SMURFS

Do you still remember the blue genie that we used to watch when we were kids? We never know that they were cute and so kind. Smurfs once again had an adventurous "trip" to New York City. It was a challenging trip because they need to find their way back home only when blue moon strikes. Papa the oldest Smurfs in them had the responsibility to bring them back and they are one cute little thing that loves to say smurfy almost for everything.....

I think they were cute. I enjoy watching them but I always feel akward to have cartoon character with real life human. Don't you think it is so unreal. I mean that they wouldn't be in reality. I know that's what movie meant for, going beyond reality.

I personally think that the story was quite enjoying, especially the cat name Azreal. It can understand what it owner said and it can even talk. It facial expression were superb. Hahahahahah

Too bad there wasn't any 3D available at Miri. Overall it was ok. Another comedy for fun because I don't think there's much attraction to people who never like cartoon. It will be nice to watch this kinda movie once in a while to release stressful week of work.

NameWee In Da House

*This is a little back dated post due to my laziness.

Mirian all know that Name Wee was around last weekend. He is here for his movie promo, Nasi Lemak 2.0. No one will ever expect his movie was able to show in the cinema. He was once a controversial person which had causes lots of issues in Malaysia. However, on the other hand I personally was quite proud of him. He is a Malaysian who really walk in our shoes and dare to voice up issues that we do not dare all this while.

He went to 2 places that day. Imperial Mall and also Boulevard Hyper Market. The crowd is unexpectedly awesome. Everyone in Malaysia knows him and in his fb he stated he loves Miri much and hoping to return. The merchandiser booth set up before the event officially starts.

He was here for his promo and he is cute thou. As in his round chubby cheek. The MCee were actors in the movie too.

There's a short interacting session with fans and some give away to the winners. Everyone was having great time with him listening more or less on his hard times during this production which takes him 2 years to finish.

This session does not really last long because time is catching up. A short signing session after that and how am I gona miss these out since I was there. Of course I did bought the merchandise but that assisting girl on the stage said my shirt can't be sign because the artist are using black in marker. What does that even mean? You are selling black shirts and you did not expect people to get signature on it? Use your brain fellow? Get a marker that able to use on every color surface lah....common sense ba....

I was not quite satisfied with the event programmer because they did not even think of these which is quite an important session. However, I am lucky to snap a photo with him eventhough the assisting girl on the stage I mention just now wouldn't let me to take a photo with him. Awesome Name Wee is generous enough to allow me to do so. How good he is for our first meet. At least I had better impression.

Just can't deny that how fast time could fly. Just how fast 365days run even without our notification. I bet everyone would recall their previous years birthday or even celebration they had when they were kids. Remember what we used to have when we were youngsters? Party celebration either at fast food restaurant or some affordable hotel with high tea package.

As I grow, I love to spend time with someone I am close with. Family and good friends. They were just too awesome to resist. See how superb they are by celebrating every moment with me. My colleague did turn out some surprises for me too. I really did had great time.

Pre-celebration of my birthday by my colleague. I really do appreciate their effort because this is was done by people who are noob in driving but with official legal license. They are such cute people. This is one real big cake and the most colorful cake as I can remember so far. Not to mention those kids cake with lots of animation cartoon on it.

On the same night, had simple dinner with bff's and buddies at Siamese Secrets. All of them were just so sweet and how I wish I can give each of them a big bear-gy warm hug. Just love how the candle light glows under dim light.

The ladies of the night. I am glad they all make it here, just for me. How lovely they are isn't it? Love ya all max!~

What makes me more surprise, Adibah Noor was collaborating in this movie.

I never knew he could go this far but I definitely salute his bravery. He voice out what we don't dare to say. He do what we use to think. He is the man! Anyone who wish to meet him up personally to see how hilarious he could be as compare with his video in youtube, head over to venue mention above and have some interaction with him. I bet you gona know in deep about him.

MIRI TRAVELOGUE

Plan for a quick escape? Want something simple and yet not tiring trip to get off from terrific long jammed or even hectic environment? I definitely think Miri is a good place. As Mirian I think Miri is a good escape for skyscrapers citizens that had been living in big cities for quite some time. It's time for you to get close to nature.

First of all upon arrival you can had your passport add in another country sign without taking plane. An hour drive from Miri you will reach Brunei. Brunei is an Islamic country with great natural resources, petroleum. Besides that, they are famous for its sushi. It is definitely worth it to have a trip there. You'll never regret and you'll never get it anyway at Malaysia. Bi, fat and juicy salmon especially.

Enough of Brunei and we will come back to the title of this post Miri. MIRI is famous with its own speciality of food from various ethnics. You can never miss out one most important food here, kolok mee. Our famous noodle you can't find else where. Every city of Sarawak had different taste but Miri definitely had one of the best.

Kolok mee is not the end of it, we have our Sarawak Laksa. This is totally not what you had like Penang Laksa. this is total different and we have more salty taste than Penang Laksa. I don't really know the history of it but I know nice food those attract people attention.

Seafood is something you can't miss out. Of course we can't compare our seafood with Sabah definitely but we still have fresh seafood with affordable price compare to any other city in West Malaysia. Crab, fish, prawn we have it all. Price might vary depends on seasons.

Enough for food at the moment. We can't have food all the way without visiting the tourism place that is an icon of Miri.

BORNEO TROPICAL RAINFOREST

This is a new attraction which takes around 2 hours from Miri. There's lots of activities that you could participate in. Kayaking, water park, fire fox which you get to relax and enjoy yourself and also close to nature because there's no other skyscrapers or buildings around. Only green nature where you are able to hear beautiful animal cricket sound.

NIAH NATIONAL PARK

This is one of the famous must visit place when you are around Miri. This is place is around 3 hours drive from Miri. Niah Cave is actually the oldest cave in the world. You will get to see the old painting that was ther e for decades ever since the stone age. Explore and see it with your own eyes.

Reminder : Please bring water and torch light with you. Remember to have good shoes because it is quite wet and slippery in there. Bring a rain coat in case of rain because not all parts of the cave were covered.

BEACH & SUNSET

We have lots of beaches but not as active as Penang Batu Ferringi. We have no all of those because we have to many jellyfish which is quite dangerous for sea sports. However, sea breeze and also sunset were just awesome enough.

MIRI HANGING BRIDGE

This is one of the attraction too. Walk across the long bridge where you got to see Taman Awam view. The bridge took around few minutes from the beginning to the end. Enjoy the walk because it will be a fantastic one.

GRAND OLD LADY

This is uphill attractions. You will see part of historical moment of Miri here and besides you will enjoy the night view of Miri. You will see the whole Miri here at night. This is beautiful. Grab a tripod if you want to grab a picture.

If you have more days Mulu Cave will be another choice. This is one of the largest cave in Asia. You can't reach there by car so you have to fly over which only takes about an hour. At least 3 to 4 days trip expected.

I am a good traveller am I? I just love to travel and hoping someone to sponsor me a near future trip??? Hahahahah, hoping AirAsia see this and bring me a free trip. For once only maybe? This is all about Miri, expect for better one on next post.

UNTITLE POST

I can't think of a tittle to write this post. I am kinda hectic and exerted these days. Day had been real rushing and tiring. At the same time, worried conquer me all this while. I am feeling tired and wishing for better rest. However, I could not slow down anytime by now.

My bro was admitted to hospital and we are all worried. Mummy will be staying overnight to keep him accompany. I will only visit him twice a day during lunch break and after work. We are not complaining just somehow thought he could discharged as soon as possible.

Needle poke in and out from his skin is rather torturing. See his skin swell in redness makes me feel his pain. I really feel whats in his shoes. What matter most now is he could recover soon and return home and I know this is what he really hopes for now. We will all pray for you speedy recovery.

Honey Dew Sago

This is just great to relieve your super duper hot day. Miri is way to hot and this is just the right pick for you to cool down. Some might not like the smell and taste of honey dew but you can definitely try on this because the sago and ice-cream taste definitely amaze you. Unless you tell me you don't like sago and ice-cream. I am wordless~

Red Bean Soup

Just nice for red bean lover! You know what? They have big, fat red bean that is really tasty and juicy. Even it was not that mild but it still taste good. Amazing ain't it? See the hand? My friend is just too shy for a post. I will try to have more pretties next time in my blog...who knows this will boost up my blog traffic....*evil grin*

Papaya with White Fungus

Something light and hot is something that I love. Somehow there is papaya in it makes me sure of my pick. I just love papaya and don't ask me why. I just love it. Taste good. I couldn't judge it too detail because I never tried one before so I would say it was nice. Just I hope they can have more papaya and a little warmer because it taste tasteless when it that bowl of papaya turns cold.

Durian Pancake

This is so far the most awesome-ness durian pancake in Miri. Dessert Master doesn't impress me much because of it's thick layering which you can't even feel the taste of durian anymore. You can read it here. I finally found a competitive competitors with sweetchat durian pancake. Thin layer full with durian aroma. Just nice don't you think so? Thin layering with soft durian taste within...yummy~~~

Did I mention where it is? It is just right behind DPS. Area where you have lots of mamak. Senadin area where Curtin students used to hang out. Kudos for them, just that they are located to far from town~

HOME DESSERT

This is a long due post which I kinda forget. Maybe it was not a memorable one but I still insist to share this because good or bad thing shall be shared among people for their knowledge. Another dessert cafe open after dessert master. This is not as good as what dessert master can offer.

Portugese Tart

Does not really taste like one. To me it was like an ordinary egg tart than a portugese tart. By judging from the picture you will realise that even the crust is not the original portugese tart shall have.

Gui Ling Gao

This is always the same. It only depends how much herbs they put in in every pot of "gui ling gao" they cook. A little stingy with their honey because they are not offering you a small tub but just pour it into that bowl of serving "gui ling gao".

Green Bean Sago

I can't recall but should be something like this. This is a totally no no for me. Not only disappointing but unexpected things found out. Not good to say it here because of some circumstances but it doesn't have much of the green bean taste that it originally should have.

Barley with Beancurd

Just ok but I am not quite satisfy. I don't know how to describe that in detail but not really up to standard I would say. There's some where that I tried could have been much more better than this.

This is newly open shop just right next to desserts. Can try it out maybe you will like it. This is definitely more location wise than the coming up that I am going to preview. Stay Tuned!!!!

Harry Potter 7 - Deathly Hallows (Part 2)

After long wait of several months from Part 1, finally Part 2 is here to meet the fans of Harry Potter. No one will want to miss this especially those who had watch the previous series. This is the final part everyone waiting for. Series that makes everyone excited of because we all wish that ending could be different from story book. Will it be? Will Harry Potter survive?

Just like what the title below stated, It all ends here. This is where everything would come to an end. The mystery from beginning. The relation between Harry and Voldemort. Story behind Dumbledore and also Professor Snape. Those who did not catch up with previous series might not know what am I talking about, so do watch back all the series.

Unlike previous series you will have Voldemort all the while in this ending story. There will be more action part between both of them and also the followers of Voldemort. How all the professors, students trying to protect Hogwarts.

I think there's exciting climax in the story but I do agree with one of my friend saying that the movie is rushing towards the ending. Every scene seems to move faster and faster just to get to the ending. BUT undeniable I am impress with the story line too.

The ending was good. Just a little akward to see kids to dress up older than their true age. It was a good ending but might not be that great ending. Catch up with it before it's too late and I think you will like it.

I am glad that Harry Potter finally shows the end. At the same time I am upset because there's nothing more for me to catch up anymore.

OLD TOWN - MIRI

Soon after opening of Silverspoon, OLD TOWN catch up their paced and open up after a month. If you remember or if you don't, I ever do review of it at KL here and here. I am doing this review again because franchise might be different in some ways not to mention the fast food restaurant of course.

Interior design is the same for the entire branch because this is one of the main terms a franchisee must follow in order their potential customer to recognise them. Classic seats with black & white photo on the wall.

How can you not try their speciality, coffee and also tea. I am picking Xi Mut Milk Tea and below this is White Milk Tea. I can't afford to taste the different unless I owned a golden tongue that taste every single details taste.

Coffee Lava

Coffee lovers gona love this because the coffee powder is spread over the vanilla ice-cream. Ice-cream and coffee lovers might like it.

Soup Egg Noodle

My first time trying this. I can't compare because I never tried this before but seriously its not my bowl of noodle. Maybe their soup just doesn't suit my taste bud because sweetness overtake the salty taste which I don't really like it. I never love sweet soup because it sounds so wrong and taste so wrong.

Double Kaya Butter

Taste the same but the bread doesn't bite with crispiness. Normal bread after heat up shall be crispy but not this one. I remember the previous I had before just had that crunchy bite and why this does not anymore? Or maybe they are too busy too served me at the right time when it was ready?

Curry Chicken Rice

I love the curry but somehow it was too cold for a hot dish. How can you served up food that's cold. That isn't right at any point. I hope they can improve in this way because a cook food shouldn't had taste cold unless it's a cold plate.

MeeHoon Siam Fried Chicken

My colleague think this was just not right at all. Plate was hot but serving was cold. Chicken was cold, mee hoon was cold and even sambal is not hot at all on that hot plate. Sounds wrong isn't it?

Maybe they are newly open that's why there's some mistake on certain aspect but do take this as consideration because little details might impact a lot especially food industries.

Monte Carlo

I was in movie fever recently. Heading to cinema for movie after one to another. No idea why but there's just too many movies screening that I would love to watch. Maybe there's not much entertainment and additionally its summer time in Europe, they have more movie release this month. Just my guess!

After transformer last week, I was once again at the cinema for Monte Carlo. A comedy which does not really attract me at first when I saw the poster. I don't really go for western comedy unless I know the storyline of it or the trailer was attracting.

Some of the scenes that you will see in the movie. It did recall some of my memory because some parts of it took place at Paris where I was there a year ago. Truly weird and funny feelings when you see something in the big screen the place that you had been before.

Scene from Monte Carlo in Hotel de Paris. I think that's how they written it. Story line was normal not much high or low issues but it was definitely funny.

How will someone go queue up for such normal movie with such poster compare to much breaking movie like Transformer. So definitely a good advert does matter for a movie ranking, just like a product matter much from its packaging.

Transformer 3 - Dark Side of the Moon

Are you transformer addict or fans? Have you watch the previous 2 series? Have you been awaiting Transformer 3 that everyone had been gossiping about because of the female character who is no longer hot sexy lady and also they are in 3D this time.

A few scene that you will see in the movie. As usual Shia LaBeouf the main actor have his action part too. A new girlfriend he is dating with is much hotter and taller than he does. He faces what every fresh grad might face when seeking for job and he is unemployed for 3 months more or less.

The decepticons is after him while he was working in his office. I had no idea what position is he in but to me he is no different as an office boy.

The new character of autobots, Sentinental. Autobots that were out of expectation. We thought he were like Optimus but some how he have different thought because in his world they were gods and he do not want to be part of Earth that they have to work together with humans.

The new actress Rosie Huntington - Whiteley. Undeniable she's hot and sexy babe. She's model for victoria secret so I can't comment much on her pretty figure. However, she does not have much action scene like Megan Fox those. I still think Megan Fox would have done much better but Michael Bay have his own director opinion which i never would have understand.

Bumble bee my always favorite. Even he is so robotic but he is still cute like usual. I just so like feeling to cuddle him.

We went to brunei purposely for this but ended up we only watch 2D because all 3D were fully booked. Overall it was till a nice movie. Some mentioned that there were no endings for those who watch within Malaysia but I think it is quite a good same ending everytime. Optimus prime still the one who ended the movie.

First Half of 2011

Twenty eleven is just half gone by now. Nothing much really achieved by me or shall I say I don't even have my resolution written this year, or any other year so particularly not only this year. It doesn't mean that I'm aimless but I have no dreams that I had full passionate to go with. It seems like I can be ok with anything at the moment. I am still looking for something (goal or dreams) that I can achieve in life. I hope I will find it one day.

Enough of this dreamy thing. First half of twenty eleven seems peaceful but some expected and sad situation happened. Death is certainly something very common in life but people still would be sad about it. I happened to lost my only grand elderly last week.

I went back to Kuching after 10 years for the same reason I got back there 10 years ago. I feel so pathetic and upset because I never return in these 10 years to visit my grandma. I feel bad and filial. Time will not turn back. I can't re-do what I have not done but I am hoping that I could treat my parents better when I still able too because I don't know when I'm going to lose them. It's not a curse but a fact to be face one day as this is circle of life.

A lesson learned at least for first half of twenty eleven. Sometimes I am desperate and pushing myself a lot for searching another half. It's not that easy but I hope I could meet him soon and hoping he could find me faster.^^ Have to be extra hardworking for final half twenty eleven.

Everyone is taking about this sister restaurant of Citrus, silverspoon. This newly open restaurant is definitely a highlight among mirians since it's opening. Mirians were eagerly visiting this brand new comer. Neither do I will miss out this chance to fight for a seats because almost full house every night.

I simply love their decoration. Just lovely and comfortable environment. Those lantern was truly attracting people BUT might be misguiding too.

Pork Chop Rice

Portion was wise with its price. It was nice but the rice is too dry for me or even a kid. Pork chop was nice but I think the sauce can have more improvement.

Pork Belly

I know this might looks bad from its appearance but it taste truly much better than how it looks. So never judge from its outlook. A good food do not required to looks good to taste good. Agreed?

Fish & Chips

This is nice and their fish is definitely fresh. Just a little different from normal served fish and chips because fries portion is way too small. Doesn't looks good for presentation purposes but taste was still great.

Pig In A Blanket

The title of it definitely different from what we imagine. We were expecting it was something cover all instead it was sausage roll with ham and served with smashed potatoes and salad. I heart their potatoes. Taste nice and their gravy is awesome too.

Mozzarella Cheese Stick

This is cheesy but not really satisfying me. There's no cheese taste and personally thinks the cheese was over loaded in that bread. It was deep fried and crispy but not really taste well. Served with blueberry jam but I think the combination could be better with something else.

Overall it was ok. I am hoping for more surprise because I am yet to try out their pork rib which I think it was hot pick of the night when I was there. The portion really blew me off. I am yet to challenge.

BARcelona

SOHO is giving me great impression when I first stop by there. Their environment, ambiance and food fulfill my standard. Went there once again on May. It was a total disappointment. SOHO had actually merge with BARcelona and they are using the same menu. Having high expectation proves me wrong. The food were worst than I thought.

SALAD

This turkey ham salad is the most pleasant pick of all the food we had that night. Fresh vegetables and great combination of sauce.

CHICKEN CHOP

This is just normal plate of chop that I can have everywhere. Even kingwood can beat their taste and price. They chicken is too hard even for a youngster like me. I don't know whether they overcooked it or the process of getting it cooked was wrongly done. Not acceptable!

SOHO CORDON BLEU

Not even qualified to my taste bud. Like I said above, the chicken was hard I think they kept it frozen for quite sometime already. The cheese was not melt when I open it up. I can't even taste the cheese within and it was still whole piece un-melted. This is total disappointment. I never knew it can be such not up to standard. Thumbs down totally!

LAMB CHOP

This is just a pass. This was okay but not good enough for a western restaurant who was selling western cuisine. People are having high expectation and the way you're food served totally gona chase your customer away.

I won't be there for the second time. A drink might be, FOOD?? please count me out! That's the last time I will step in there.

Irresistible

I really dislike for being such a coward. I feel to have some courage in me to do something I wanted and have my own destiny in own hand. Somehow, things are unpredictable and uncontrollable sometimes. I am not trying to blame someone BUT I would always thinks that faith must have fool me around to like someone I shouldn't have.

I didn't mean it when I can't even control the feelings in depth of me. I didn't notice it until I was with him. I didn't even know he can be so influencing till I have him in my dream almost every single night when I go off to bed. I am really giving up.

I am not going to repeat what I have done because I did not see any future in us. I did not see any chances in us. I did not even see the possibility in us. I just wish I can step forward but there's no path for me to reach and I shall only remain where I am. I don't want history to repeat once again where I'm rejected and hurt deeply because I can't stand with rejection anymore in this condition. I might seem to be selfish but this is how I can protect myself.

I am letting of something that does not belongs to me. Wrongly said. He never even own by me before. I wish nothing but the best for you! Adios, love!~

Guidelines for Summer Student to UK

Are you one of the yearly students that join the summer programme back at UK? Are you one of the students who were anxious? happy? excited? and can't wait to fly and reach there. 3 months course id truly short for you to enjoy everything over there so plan properly first thing first when you reach your hostel or even when you're flight in the plan.

You will have plenty of time in the plane for at least 17 hours. Do look back what your seniors track to have better plan. Here I am to provide you little guidelines on what to bring in case of overweight issue.

First thing first, you have to ready your pounds. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT change it at UK because it doesn't worth a single penny you had change. You get less pounds back with ringgit you gave them. So this is a NO!

Approximately, you will need around 300-400 pounds a month for expenses and this only applies to those who cooks everyday for lunch and dinner. This examines you how good are you in financing yourself with limited budget. If you're not a good cook and hoping for meal outside everyday, be prepare for higher expenses up to 500-700 pound per month.

Get your driving license with you. You'll need it, and believe me. Of course it shouldn't be an expired one. Even Malaysia traffic won't let you drive with expired license. You can always rent a car a treasure around UK by driving. It would be fantastic but please follow the laws because you can't afford with their summons.

Have your luggage attached with luggage tag because you never know who had the same luggage as yours. A tag would secure your belongings and also mistook but somebody else. This is unnecessary if you had a very "outstanding" luggage where others will never even get it.

Having euros now or later is all depends on yourself. If you have euro now meaning you have more pounds. Besides there won't be twice currency exchange charges, from ringgit to pound and pound to euro. Direct ringgit to euro would save you some. You will need it when you're on a trip around Europe where most of them would not miss because it is a chance you will grab.

Getting a proper luggage is important. Why do I say so? You need a good one to not only fit in your cloths but also souvenirs and some local delicacies that taste awesome. Size vary for everyone but a bigger one definitely worth every penny than a smaller one. You can bring less cloths and more dried food like instant noodles, herbs or bak kut teh, curry powder, chili sauce and others that you might need for daily cooking.

You can find it all at China town but it is not cheap at all. You might have to pay double or triple amount that you have to pay here after convert. Besides, taste was different from what we usually have. Properly organise your luggage to ft in all your things.

You don't have to grab too much cloths over because you'll love cloths there where summer sales will just blew you off. You get additional discounts for certain brands too so do not bring much where you get dirt cheap prices there. Just ensure you have your jacket and long pants and cover shoes when you boarding.

The important of all your passport. Never left it aside from you. Keep it at a safe place when you reach there. You'll need it from time to time. Remember to photocopy all your documents and keep a copy for your family in case something happen and there's someone to prove your identity.

By now I think you had everything ready with you. Last but not least, before you fly remember your offer letter, your bank draft, your itinerary (for immigration purposes), and passport for sure. Safe journey and happy on board!

Station 1 Cafe

This is what everyone might have been waiting for! This might be the one that everyone had been hunting for! NO? DON'T AGREE? You're right here now ain't it? Ever since the banner were review, Mirians had been looking forward for their opening and they had their soft opening on 17th May 2011 and grand opening on coming 25th May 2011.

Station 1 Cafe had been a great cafe at West Malaysia, and everyone wonders how great can they do at East Malaysia because franchise restaurant don't really give much good expressions to the locals BUT excluded the fast food chain outlet. Drop by there today with reservation and I feel lucky that I did because after moment we get our seats the place was fast packed up with people.

This mini stage is for band performers like what we formerly have for Halo Cafe but they did not turn out success so I'm crossing fingers hoping that this would last because they had quite great range of food for you to be picky.

YESTEA (recommended by Station 1)

Did not get to taste it but somehow it was quite nice for a hot sunny day. Cooling and refreshing to cool your throat.

Ribena Sparkling

Sweet and sour taste just enlighten your taste bud isn't it? This is very normal nowadays instead of just plain Ice Lemon and Lemon Tea all the time? Boring pick ain't it?

3 Layer Tea

This is to say speciality of Miri and I have no idea how do they have it in their menu. I wonder do they purposely have it for us like Secret Recipe have Sarawak Laksa in their menu or it was same all over Malaysia. Then it would be good thing for KL-ians because they can taste 3 layer tea anywhere in West Malaysia even mamak stalls.

Fruity Milk

This taste a little awkward, just a little because it doesn't suits well with milk. Papaya and watermelon is still a better combination.

Upset with long waiting hours for your food? Boring and mad when time runs and you're extremely hungry? Guess what? They have some toys for not only kids but adults to play. No restriction BUT remember to read instruction before you proceed. Here goes what we get.

I don't even get to start yet and our food is ready to served our drooling tummy. Just right on time and the appearance are truly tempting. Let's see how far different can it taste.

BABA RENDANG CHICKEN RICE

This is definitely as good as how it looks. Awesome taste, awesome aroma, awesome look. Would rate 8.5/10. Not giving out full because I didn't how the rice texture because it was a little too hard and cold. Other than that the meat was spicy enough for me to challenge (not spicy lover), and still could not stop having more of it.

CHICKEN HAM AGLIO OGLIO

This is a little disappointed because it doesn't smells nice and either taste pretty good. Mr Ho's will still be my favorite pick so far.

KONG PO CHICKEN CHOP RICE

This was not bad. Presentation wise and taste wise. Their kong po does not really hot & spicy. Maybe fusion style but still my colleagues did not like the rice too.

GR
ILLED CHICKEN CHOP RICE

This was nice but little unexpected because I never ever see any chop that serves with rice and they did. Fusion I shall assumed? I tell you this was good. I love the gravy and simply greatly cook chicken chop. Soft enough for you to chew and swallow. Doesn't need much muscle of your mouth.

SEAFOOD SPAGHETTI

This is total disappointment because this looks total different and I mean REAL DIFFERENT from what it appears in the menu. Even though picture is for illustration but somehow this is a little too over?? Now I know why the westerns never have any picture on their menu. Put aside the appearance and go for the taste. Not really satisfying my taste bud, I think might be taste better with tomato paste?

GREEN DREAM VEGGIE SALAD

Who says vegetable does not taste good? Who says lettuce and capsicum can never be nice? This bowl of salad might change your thought. Nothing special but I can see that they have fresh vegetables and that was a real important aspect for serving great food.

All of us was satisfied with our lunch and the food was satisfying of course exception for the rice part. Definitely would come back for their appetizers and western steak from far New Zealand! Tempting? Head down and try it out instead of waiting!

CGS Vegetarian Cafe

There's not much vegetarian cafe around Miri. Is not that there's no demand but supplying is hard because not much people know how to make great and delicious vegetarian food which is rather hard and consists and "heart" work.

Personally thinks CGS is one rated vegetarian cafe. I think their food are nice, healthy and at the same time delicious. Do forgive me for not remembering the name because it's weird to have it in english.

Above pick were great. It does suits my taste bud but I don't know for others. I just love their taste and the way they cook it. Even their drinks were healthy that suits all ages. Hope by and give it a try. Who knows you would love it!!

DAVE'S DELI - MOTHER'S DAY LUNCH SPECIAL

Had been doing last minute reservation? Too bad but can't get any seats everywhere? Worried of disappointing your mummy this year? I might offer you some help over here. This post just come in the right time ain't it?

Dave's Deli is having their very own Mother's Day Special Menu. Why do you have to go with the pack when you can enjoy a pretty calm and enjoyable lunch just with your family. They had their British Chef to come up with this Western Menu.

Do you know that the British always have good way of preparing red meat like lamb and beef? Why? They just love it, so they work things out to serve it better. Look at the menu above you might have some idea how great it would be. Different from normal western course, it will be 2 course meal without the appetizer but not forgetting the desserts. 3 course meal might be too much for us Asian and to be frank, as for my experience you can't finish a 3 course meal because the main course will be a real big portion. 2 is just nice!

MR HO's FINE FOODS

Mr Ho's definitely could not be compare to those good reputation hotel with great chefs but they are bringing out their very best specialty to their customer out there.

Newly open Imperial Palace Hotel definitely show their ability to satisfy their customer. They are offering variety of promotion that you might interested in for these year Mother's Day celebration.

It's been so long ever since we heard of Mega Hotel. Even they are not the best in Miri but I personally think they are offering great varieties of food especially when comes to buffet. They can always satisfied customer because I believe their chef must have understand Mirians very well.

Last but not least, the parent of Imperial Palace, Imperial Hotel is offering their set dinner which was different from many others. But somehow you have to get at least 6 person for the set dinner.

Way to hard to decide? But still you have to go for something. There's still more choices available out there but these is all I can get from the site. This is for your easier view all in one. If the place had been fully booked then you can go for other one.

Shukie Cafe

Shukie can be consider a newly open restaurant at Miri. There were so many newly open restaurant recently just like mushroom after the rain, phrases direct translate from "bagai cendawan tumbuh selepas hujan", my malay still good.

This place I had been to hundreds time but it's next door. Citi Cafe the new cafe based on western style. Shukie are just right next door to it and I always thought Shukie was a Malay owned restaurant but it was total wrong of mine. It was Chinese owned and someone I know very well.

They have great nasi lalapan but the portion is way too big for me so me and bunch of buddies go for something small and light.

To be frank, I don't remember all the names of the food above. But the fried rice taste not bad at all. I love that plate of light cook baby kailan. Nothing much added except fried garlic and light oil which is the best way to have the vegetable cook.

Overall, I personally won't thought of this restaurant when I wanted for something special and nice but of course when I wish for nasi lalapan it would definitely be a great pick.

Prince William and Catherine Middleton Wedding

Ever since Prince William and Kate engagement news spread out everyone was predicting their marriage till the real date was announce. Everyone was waiting for it and England had been really preparing for this royal wedding and marriage. Stamps, cups, souvenirs of both of them. Such a lovely couple they are.

29th April 2011, they had tie their knot and Kate officially the royal family. She looks beautiful with her wedding gown and so do Prince William but he is not as good as he was a couple years ago. Scroll down and you will find out how different it is.

The royal kiss from Buckingham Palace. Everyone has awaits for that royal kiss for so so long at that moment was only a few seconds even it was for 2 times. I would say that they are lovely couple and truly match couple.

This is where there wedding ceremony held. This is a picture I took when I was at London. The Westminster Abbey. Too bad that I did not have the opportunity to get in there and thank good I've been there before. Another wonderful moment too.

Ajisen Ramen

Do you notice any new restaurant opening around Miri? If you love food and hang out much around then you will know, Ajisen Ramen is officially open last month.

Only both of us, we agreed to go for their ramen but somehow their menu brought down us a little because there were not much choice at the moment. I'm hoping they could have more in future.

Spicy Ramen

Truly spicy for me. Those who love hot & spicy can accept this I guess because its mild enough to satisfied spicy lovers.

Miso Ramen

Soup is good but a little too salty. Meat was great and the ramen was ok. I don't know whether it was handmade but if it was, some improvement shall be make. I don't feel much texture in it while chewing noodle in my mouth.

Sushi

It is a must pick when I come into a Japanese Restaurant. You have to try the most simple thing to judge a Japs restaurant. Outlook was fine but the taste was a little unacceptable. Unagi sushi was not bad but salmon was a total disappointment. Maybe I'm loving salmon too much so I had little more expectation on it. Personally, I think the salmon was not juicy enough. Too dry when put into mouth. Can't feel the origin taste of salmon.

Hakka Village

Enough of Johor and now we are driving north, back up to Kuala Lumpur. I believe this is a restaurant that most of us will see if you did pass by Pavillion to Bukit Bintang area. This is HAKKA VILLAGE.

I simply love it because it's open air with truly lovely decoration and not only that, you can view the twin towers from this lovely place.

Even the beauties looks lovely under the lights while posing in front of the camera.

"Ma Po Taufu"

great combination taste. Spicy with salty were just good for starter even there's no such serving sequences in Asian cuisine.

"Han Cai"

I heard this was normally for soup but the way the cook it was nice too. I little more gravy than usual veges but simple cooking with chopped garlic and shrimp. Simple but fantastic then those complicated one.

Sweet and Sour Chicken

I think this is very normal, nothing much special compare to what I have before but really not bad.

Salted Steamed Chicken

Not ordinary at all. Texture and taste much lively than ordinary one. Texture taste much better. Personally think the chicken species that they cook might be different from the ordinary one that we usually have. That's the extraordinary out of it.

The meal was great, especially when you are sitting on a round table with all your family and relatives around, that's something truly hard nowadays and not easy. Appreciating and hoping for more chances in future.
