Eatery Place in Melbourne

14-16 Market Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

Their speciality is definitely their dumplings and xiao long bao. It is actually a famous dish origin from Hong Kong if I did not remember it wrongly. Since this is about food, I will let the picture do the talking most of the time. Will just briefly describe my opinion.

Pork Dumpling
This is better known as "jiao zi" in chinese which is something similar to wantan. To be frank I have no idea what's the different between them but the texture of skin is definitely different.

Xiao Long Bao
What makes this different is the skin texture is thinner than dumplings. On your first bite, you will have the gravy soread from the xiao long bao itself which is a taste of heaven. Eat it hot but beware it might burn your tongue and lips if you are not careful. Just way too tempting to resists and we ordered two basket of this for 7 of us.

136 Hopkins St, Footscray VIC 3011, Australia

Every portion here is way too huge for us. This is no kidding and I think a bowl of this can feed 3 of my size and appetite at least. The food is way too awesome and at least I finish my bowl of noodles and could not make any other attempt to finish my sister bowl. I used to sapu habis everything but this is really way too much.

Love the soup especially. Their ingredients are served fresh and go through lots of good comments for this Vietnamese restaurant.

This is a cafe in a gallery which we stop by to have our lunch. Therefore there's no name and I can't recall where it is about. Food is just ok but I am loving the fish & chips and also their Salmon & Beef Steak set which blew me off. Western food is a definite thumbs up here. Or maybe I do no actually have much standard towards them. I just love food as long as they are not too worst.

380 Lygon St, Carlton VIC 3053, Australia

They say you are not considered to be in Melbourneif you haven't step in to this famous Italian restaurant which had been set up for long. The crowd is really no joke. It is barely impossible for you to grab a seat and we are way too lucky to get one but it is a share round table that could seat at least 20 customers.

Recalled one of the day when I was back at Vernice, Italy. Their most famous food, pizza & pasta. To my curiosity for something I had not tried before, I ordered Risotto. Was not as good as I expected it would be or maybe I am more in love with asian rice than to western way of cooking it. However, the pasta were truly undeniable tasty.

11- 13 Heffernan La, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

The elderly still prefer asian than western. Therefore, here we are again for typical asian food over hamburgers and fries. Portion is also large, which can feed at least 2 meal for my ordinary daily portion. I would most of the asian food were more similar to Hong Kong style except for Vietnamese food.

Happy viewing and watch out if you are drooling while scrolling down the page!

Melbourne, Australia

I think it's been about 3 months since I got back from Aussie. I haven't get to blog about that first family trip out of the country. Or to be more specific, I do not even have the mood to even start blogging about it. However, I think I shall start completing it because I have another trip blog pending. So, like it or not, I have to do this for the sake of my readers. ( I don't even know if there's any anymore..tsk tsk)

Total of 10 hours flight, inclusive of 2 hours flight from Miri to Kuala Lumpur was truly exhausted. You wouldn't fancy this but with AirAsia X, everyone manage to fly. All the exhausted feeling gone just like a blowing wind when I look through my aisle. Welcoming us was this fascinating view!!~

Little Bourke Street, Central Business District

Along the street, the sculpture really caught my eye. They do preserved historical building but never forget developing as it is playing a great role for a state future. This trip to Melbourne were mainly for gathering, therefore nothing extreme. All were slow and easy as we go.

If you love asian food, specially chinese, this is definitely where you would get all of it. Typically hot steam dim sum, soup noodles or even spicy sour kimchi could be easily spotted here.

Corner of Victoria Street; Elizabeth Street

Personally love this place. Not only you can shop, you find food and you get to bargain. All price were still negotiable and people here were all very friendly. You can find almost everything here. Anything from top to toe. Anything your mum would need in her kitchen or some gardening tools that your dad might need for his gardening, you can shop it all in one place.

328 Swanston Street

This building is Victoria, Melbourne landmark and cultural icon. It was build on the 19th century and has the most beautiful heritage interior.

Harbour Town which is situated at Waterfront City, Melbourne Docklands. It was a newly develop area which consists of numerous selection of brand direct outlets and speciality stores. One thing you can never resists here is cheap bargain. They offered great deal and discount with more additional discount since most of them were clearing off their stocks due to season change.

180 St Kilda Road

This is the oldest public art museum in Australia which was founded in 1861. Certain sections are non chargeable for public entrance. Did not manage to go through everything since we were in a rush. You may get their brochure available at their customer service for more information.

Flinders Street Station—colloquially shortened to simply Flinders Street or sometimes FSS—is a central commuter railway station at the corner of Flinders and Swanston streets in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Rich of skyscrapers that you may be fascinating of. Bet this is the best place for an architect. You will be amazed with their sculptures and the Flinder Street Station building itself is already a decade old. If you happened to drop by on Sunday, you will bump into the Sunday Markets that sell varieties of items from household items to food and even handcraft piece.

Elliott Ave, Parkville VIC 3052, Australia

The Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens, commonly known as the Melbourne Zoo, contains more than 320 animal species from Australia and around the world. The zoo is 4 kilometres north of the centre of Melbourne.

Expecting to spend whole day here. Do not come here and expecting for a half day tour as it is quite far from town. Spend every single penny worth it for the entrance ticket. Koala and Kangaroo were my main thing, however, due to winter most of them were hibernating and lazy to move around.

1 Old Monbulk Rd, Belgrave VIC 3160, Australia

This is the only available train that is still running manually using charcoal and what makes this more precious, all their workers are majority volunteers. Therefore, donation is most appreciated. Entrance is upon of purchasing ticket depending on the time. It is definitely worth the money, especially those who love nature. It is rather soothing and calm while travelling through that greenery forest.

A moment out of coverage, no email notification, no noisy phone calls. A step into this forestry which brings you calm and stress free environment.

This picture reminds me of a movie, Polar Express.

St Kilda is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 6 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District. Its local government area is the City of Port Phillip. At the 2011 Census, St Kilda had a population of 17,795.

If you happen to drop by on Sunday, there's this handicraft market selling lots of cute and creative item which you would not find in their malls. Be surprise and fascinated by their hand made item. It was truly inspiring and motivated.

9 days just pass in a blink of an eye. It was a great experienced, however the weather just way too cold for us too handle even it was almost to the end of winter. When there's meeting there will always be farewell. Had a great time spend and bonding session. Hope we will be returning to Australia soon!
