Donya Japanese & Western Restaurant

There's this saying that when people talk about Miri, they will be reminded about food. Don't you agree with that statement? It is up to you to decide but today this post is yet again another blog about food. It was a newly opened restaurant about a month ago which consists of Japanese & Western Cuisine . It is located right opposite Mitsubishi showroom. The restaurant are nicely decorated with hand picked item from the owner and make one feel like home when you step in. However, it is still too empty that causes sound pollution. When the place were fully packed with customers, the place goes really noisy especially when there's baby crying that makes one feeling uncomforted eating.  JAPANESE FOOD Sushi were good but I think they can do better than this. Personally, I love their ramen (japanese noodle). I do not know whether there's a different name calling it in Japan or there's an error, they named it Kimuchi Ramen. Love the combination of kore...

Line Up Performers, Borneo Jazz Festival 2014

(pictures taken from www.sarawaktourism.com) Miri International Jazz Festival or better known as Borneo Jazz Festival is making a great return this year with lots of world-class names in the list in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 (VMY2014) and also Visit Sarawak Year 2014. This is already the 9th year of such annual event organised and held in Miri, Sarawak. It will be held on the 9 & 10 May 2014. For those of you who haven't know, I would love to briefly introduce the impressive line-up which had been announced by the organisers. First of all, Iriao, band which is based on Georgian authentic folk and instrumental and polyphonic music, an eight-piece ethno-jazz band from Georgia which has been recognised by UNESCO as being a masterpiece of oral immaterial heritage.
