Line Up Performers, Borneo Jazz Festival 2014

Miri International Jazz Festival or better known as Borneo Jazz Festival is making a great return this year with lots of world-class names in the list in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 (VMY2014) and also Visit Sarawak Year 2014. This is already the 9th year of such annual event organised and held in Miri, Sarawak. It will be held on the 9 & 10 May 2014.

For those of you who haven't know, I would love to briefly introduce the impressive line-up which had been announced by the organisers.





First of all, Iriao, band which is based on Georgian authentic folk and instrumental and polyphonic music, an eight-piece ethno-jazz band from Georgia which has been recognised by UNESCO as being a masterpiece of oral immaterial heritage.











Acappella act had gained great popularity for Jazz Festival the past few years. Therefore the committees are getting it back this year with Vocal Sampling, an all-male musical group from Cuba. They are very well-known band and a crowd pleaser.





Other line-up bands for this years' will be Brassballett from Germany. You will be impress of what they are going to deliver. They are the only band which are going to perform with choreographed show whilst playing their instruments. 


YK Band from our neighbour country, Indonesia will be performing Jazz with hints of Borneo flavour which may impress you on the night. Nevertheless, we have the big deal, Anthony Strong. He is the country, United Kingdom, new jazz superstar who had beat Gregory Porter, Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr. to become No.1 on the iTunes and No.2 on Amazon.com jazz charts in the USA. 


Despite that, local representatives we have Diana Liu in list, Sarawakian born artist which is not only familiar in jazz music but also pop, bossa nova, gospel and funk/soul too. She had released her debut on 2010, title꜀ē¾Žå„½ēš„(Zui Mei Hao De).

Great to hear that you will be here again! However, Rainforest World Music Festival is another annual event held in Kuching. Jazz Festival is annual event held in Miri. Anyway, hope you will have fun! Cheers~

This movie is more to Christian history and all the ceremony and nevertheless famous place that Christian treat as honourable. I have nothing much to comment on this movie as I think from the beginning till the end the story was quite good. The flow is indeed smooth and connected. I did enjoy the time Tom Hanks search for clue to find the candidate popes where they were hide and the place they will get killed. There is so much excitement in it. Photography

Recently, I am up to more nature photography. Those who know me well knows that I am always girl with my babe (camera) around. Non stop taking food places and something which is akward and new to my eyes. Nowadays I find out that the view out from my balcony and window is so tentative and fascinating that I did not realise before. Here are some shot that I had taken and I hope for some comment for my improvement in future! SUNSET FROM WINDOW VIEW For this picture, I take in two ways. a wish for brighter sky but somehow when I get the color of sky I want the light out from the blue cloud could not be seen clearly. Only when I set it to darker mode then the light out of the cloud could be emphasize out. LIGHT, SIGN OF BETTER DAY

YOU TIAO & JOHN KING TART

YOU TIAO is what we called in Chinese and ' YAO ZA GUAI ' is what Cantonese named it and this food is said to be origin from Cantonese people. This is one of the high demand food in Pavilion. It is simple, non-oily and reasonable in price. Their freshly made Tau Foo Far taste great and it is so smooth and doesn't have much of the bean taste which make people hardly love to eat them..... You Tiao - It is so crispy to eat just like that or you wanted to eat with their plain porridge would also be great because the combination of both makes perfect!!! Porridge - Their porridge is not so hardened or over watery. I guess that's the perfect way to describe. It is just alright and you can hardly see the rice but instead it is little sticky which a porridge should have.... After having that, my friend continuing exploring other food in the section. We go for the tart that had been very popular and keep mentioning by those who had ever had them. The legendary tart, ...
