OLD TOWN CAFE - PART I

I found out that there are many new restaurant open behind our condominium. Really feel lazy to cook and wish to have a visit to some of the new opening restaurant. This is the cafe that really attracts me from their interior design.

You can see from both of the pic above that they actually use the ancient style of chinese as their chairs and table. Its marble table and stool. All the colors are mostly black n dull yellow. Good combination~

Of course not to forget the utensils that we use to enjoy our meal. It is also black in color. Really nice for me. It is just so attractive.

The first I saw in their menu is this signature choice of the cafe. Kaya & Butter toast (single). It also come with double too. Its is really nice and delicious. I guess the kaya must be secret recipe because it doesn't taste like any kaya in the supermarket.

How can I forget about the drinks. OLD TOWN is always famous with its originality of coffee. The first in list is OLDTOWN "Cham". This is where coffee mix tea, it is something like Kim Gary "Yin Yong".

This is one of the signature choice too. Nan Yang Memorably and OLD TOWN actually registered a TM for this. Thats mean no one can own it accpet OLDTOWN. A nice color for a drink.

This is OLDTOWN Enriched White Cofee (Gao). Those who really loves coffee with rich flavor can try this. The coffee is so smooth that I really melts your heart. I personally love this.

I know every each of them looks the same in terms of color but it is totally different in terms of taste. This is Mocha White Coffee. This is actually more on coffee. The coffee taste is too strong for those who do not really love coffee alone. Remember, coffee, sugar, cream and milk makes a perfect match??

This is OLDTOWN Nasi Lemak Special. Personally thinks that nothing really special about it the sambal and chicken is definitely a good one. I do not wish to compare with any other cafe because this is about OLDTOWN.

This is definitely my recommendation to all of you. It is also the signature choice of OLDTOWN. This is the OLDTOWN Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun. They put in smooth 'hor fun', chicken slices, prawn and the soup. The chicken slices is so nice. They use sesame oil to steamed it that the smell was so strong when you put into the mouth. The prawn is so sweet, that you can feel it is fresh, some more the outter part had been peel-off. Not to say the soup, all of the ingredients combine together makes the soup so sweet. It is really superb~ Only one words to describe, YUMMY!!

This is OLDTOWN Asam Laksa. the smell of laksa was so strong that you can smell it from far away. When you start to taste the soup, you will love it if you are those who love laksa and sour dishes. It was not bad for me as I do not really eat Asam Laksa. I prefer original laksa. But it is definitely a nice one too.



This is the one that you definitely can't miss out! It is the Ice Fire Polo Bun. OLDTOWN get the trademark for this too. So, you can see how popular and special it is. It is like Hong Kong "po lo pau'. They have kaya & butter in it too. You can;t wait to eat it when you see the butter starts to melts over the polo bun. When you eat it, the whole bun, you will feel the crispy layer outside and filling with strong butter meltz. OH GOSH~Its really my LOVE!!!

Not to forget of course is our favorite desserts. This is also the signature choice called OLDTOWN Coffee Lava. It is actually normal vanilla ice-cream but the point is their coffee powder that looks like lava after spraying on the ice cream. The coffee smells so nice and when you eat it in your mouth, the ice-cream and coffee powder makes a perfect match too!!~
